Valentine's, Baltimore, and Retirement

Around the beginning of February Danny was contacted by a recruiter about an amazing job in Baltimore. Danny thinking it was a long shot and probably wouldn't lead anywhere agreed to send a resume. The next thing we knew he was on a plane to Baltimore for an onsite interview. Despite it being a really great opportunity we ended up turning down their offer after lots of prayer, freaking out, advice from friends, more freaking out, prayer, and even more freaking out. I was so sure Danny would take the offer I quit my job (let's be honest though; after the week from hell that was Danny's birthday I was looking for any reason to leave).  All this happened on Valentine's so we were just too stressed out to do anything besides pick up Sprouts, Sprinkles, and watch a movie (I don't even remember which one). I guess my retirement was Danny's present to me :).

How could I forget!?!?!? Danny actually got me a really awesome present (besides retirement) for Valentine's! In January a huge package came in the mail and Danny quickly wrapped it and warned me not to look at it. I thought for a long time that it was a new laptop but it turned out to be even better!

I never got an American Girl doll when I was little and I've been a little sad about it. I got really sad last year when I found out that my favorite girl, Samantha, had been discontinued before I could buy her.  My other favorite girl is Felicity and when Danny heard she might be discontinued he bought her for me. Danny is seriously the best!!! Such a surprise!!
