Sometimes I like to sew...

No. These are NOT for me.

Yes. I did copy people on etsy.

Thanks to my friends for ideas, fabric shopping, all round inspiration, and a place to do my crafts.

Much prettier and pinker versions coming soon ;)

My Male Prima Donna

This is how the story goes....

I saw The Office music video Male Prima Donna on hulu and told Danny I was going to refer to him as my male prima donna from now on. He didn't like that idea.

A couple nights later it was late and Danny wanted to go to bed but the sheets were still in the dryer (we have a coin-op laundry room down the hall). So he started complaining and I told him that the sheets were probably done and he could go get them out. But he decided he was too good to get the laundry so he started watching a movie on Lifetime (The Banger Sisters). About 30 minutes later, I was doing the dirty dishes and asked Danny to go get the sheets out of the dryer. He ignored me being totally enthralled with the Lifetime movie. So after doing the dishes I walked down the hall and got the stuff out of the dryer, brought it back, and made a pile around Danny with it. He just sat there like nothing had happened and kept watching his movie. I was laughing so hard and had to take a picture. I told him how I thought it was so funny/ridiculous and proof that he is my male prima donna. Then he turned to me and said, "But Liz, I'm too pretty to do the laundry AND work."

Danny wants to know...

What you think the pumpkin on the left looks like??

****UPDATE- Danny wanted to know because he couldn't figure out what my pumpkin was supposed to be. He thought maybe it was a demon angel. It's supposed to be a "M" for Maxfield.

Visitors!!!

I think I must have been mad at my computer the whole month of September because I didn't post anything. It was a really busy and exciting month so I can't forget to document it. We had lots of visitors and it was awesome!!

First my family came for labor day weekend but I already posted about that. Next my good friend Carly came and we had a blast. We went to out lunch (like good ol' days), went shopping, went to the Cantor Museum of Art at Stanford, NightLife at the California Academy of Sciences (where I swear we were going to be attacked by Vampires. Fog + Night + Golden Gate Park = Super Creepy), and out to dinner to finally meet her husband. I miss my friends!

Rodin's Gates of Hell @ the Cantor Museum...amazing

I like to call this one "My Family" or "My Siblings". This is the infamous green skirt previously mocked by Danny.

Albino gator @ the California Academy of Science

If you watch River Monsters like Danny and I do, you would know this is an Alligator Gar...creepy.

Thursday night Doug flew in from Vegas and Friday we all went to the King Tut exhibit @ the De Young Museum. It was surprisingly rather dramatic. It was better than I expected and I learned a lot.

We bid farewell to Carly and Scott and then didn't leave the apartment again for the rest of the weekend. The boys had a grand time playing xbox non stop.

At the airport saying good bye... Danny had to laugh to keep from crying.

We had so much fun with our visitors! Come visit us again!!

Halloween & Anniversary Celebration!

We decided to celebrate our anniversary a little early. On Halloween we had dinner at Ruth Chris's in the city (yummy!) and then went to Wicked. It was amazing. Some people even came in costumes. It was a really fun night!!!

Right before taking this picture we saw a girl with real veneer vampire fangs (hope they were veneer) . We talked about it the whole way home. We were both a little freaked out.

Hip Hip Hooray for 3 Years!!!!

I'm so glad you didn't run out of the celestial room while we were waiting to get married. I'm also glad you cried tears of joy during the sealing. It was a very good day. I'm glad I get to be with you forever!!! Thanks for putting up with my divaness.
