Memorial Day and etc..

For Memorial Day weekend we went to Vegas. Unfortunately I have no pictures to prove it. It was really fun seeing the family, eating good food, playing liars' dice, and Danny loved seeing Terminator with the boys. I'm glad we went!

We got back Sunday night and on Monday my family came into town. We still had to work all week long but they were able to do some fun things during the day and meet up with us at night. Yesterday we all went to Muir Woods before they left. It was so pretty!

Don't mind my crazy hair. It was really windy!

So pretty! Can you find Danny?

So the whole time we were at Muir Woods my sister kept "asking" for a toy. I said to her, "Do you see any toy stores around here? Where do you think you are going to get a doll? Dolls don't live in the woods. That would be freaky." Well I must have annoyed her...because now they do.

R.I.P Bobby

Bobby moments before his "escape"

She threw him far away in a stream and we could not retrieve him. The theme song to Toy Story played threw my mind ("You've Got a Friend in Me") and I almost cried. I hope Bobby finds happiness in his new forest surroundings. At least its pretty right?

*It should be noted Bobby is Becca's favorite doll...at least we have another at home. I hope you're happy Becca.

After Muir Woods we had a BBQ with some of our friends. We recently discover this park in Palo Alto that is only open to Palo Alto residents and it is awesome. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was and how peaceful. There were deer everywhere. It was really cool.

Can you see the deer?

On another note...sorry this is so long...look at our garden!! Our plants are huge! We are excited to eat the fruits of our labor soon!

Thanks to everyone for the fun times! We love seeing our families!

Sick

The weekend before Memorial Day weekend I was really sick. Danny said "Every time you breathe a piece of me dies." Then he quarantined me to my room. At first I was little upset but he took good care of me and I got lots of needed rest. He brought me all my meals and made sure I had a cold rag on my forehead at all times (our apartment was 90 degrees all weekend). I'm glad I have Danny to take care of me!

Our thermostat...ick!

Highlight of the weekend was finding North and South (a BBC miniseries similar to Pride and Prejudice) online free to watch! I just finished reading the book for book club so I was really excited. Both were so good! I recommend both the book and the miniseries.
