Kennewick

I was supposed to go to Kennewick for Becca's birthday and Easter but since I ended up seeing my family the beginning of April in Utah we decided to postpone my trip. When I found out Danny was going to New York (the state not the city- else I would have gone with) I decided it would be the perfect time for me to visit my family.

My first impressions of Kennewick back in 1999 were not favorable. I hated Kennewick. But now I love it and think it's the greatest place on earth to live. Seriously, you should move to Kennewick. Everyone is so nice. If my sister comes and visits me in California people stare and lots of people say mean comments when we go out and about. It's so rude! One of these days I'm going to end up punching someone in the face! But in Kennewick Becca is like a celebrity. Everywhere we go she knows people and they come up and say hi and are so nice. But it's not even just people she knows. People who have never even meet her will tell us "Cute dolls!" or "I love your dolls" and Becca gets so excited. People are just so kind in the Tri-Cities. I really wish Danny would move there!

We spent the week getting our hair done, getting pedicures, shopping, eating out, going to movies, preparing stuff for the ward Memorial Day Breakfast, and trying to clean out the garage. It was a blast!!!

When Danny is unable to come in person Danny (the doll) comes with us everywhere as his representative.

It's a Morris stuffed animal hat!

After showing my Mom the clothes I was trying on I came back to the dressing room to find Bob the Builder trying on my clothes!! You're such a jokster!!

"Can we PLEASE go shopping for dolls tomorrow? Pretty please?" People often get confused when I talk about Becca because I act like she can talk. In reality we have our own sign language we have developed over the years. This means "tired", "sleeping", or "tomorrow". Becca recently figured out that "tomorrow" means "after we sleep". This was accompanied by the sign for doll. That is how I know she wanted to go shopping for dolls tomorrow. Add in the puppy dog eyes and you have pretty please. :)
In our new church outfits!

Saying good-bye at the airport.
Thanks for spoiling me!

** Special shout out to my friend Heidi for driving down from Spokane to have dinner with me. I miss you! Move back to Palo Alto!

It was so exciting to see so many new posts! You've had such a busy spring-how fun to get to see your family so often. :)
