Halloween Party

We got invited to a Halloween party this year and after much debate Danny decided he wanted us to dress up as Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter...zombies. After visiting all the costume stores in town and Good Will multiple times for props, dyeing fabric, making a hat, and a minor costume crisis when my costume finally arrived and was WAY too short...the costumes were finally finished after about 40 hours of work (by 2 people...thanks mom)!

Too bad Danny was the biggest piece of poop about it.

I'm a happy zombie!

I know. I know. I'm only suppose to write positive things about my spouse on my blog...but let's be honest...the picture speaks for it self. Plus he made it up by taking me to a really, really, really nice expensive dinner in San Fran. If you're ever in town...the House of Prime Rib is excellent.

When we go to Yosemite...

We wear our Pumas.

We stay in a cabin with a bathroom (barely).

We ride bikes.

We let the doll ride the stuffed bear in the lodge.


Thanks family for a fun trip to Yosemite for Labor Day weekend!!!

P.S. Remember how I was walking to the bus stop and thought I heard a squirrel 2 feet from me and it turned out to be a giant deer and I freaked out? Or how Annie kept "jumping" off the bus. Good times.

Confessions

Danny made some confessions this morning.

I walk out ready for the day wearing my favorite pair of white capri pants.

Danny: " Oh, don't wear those pants. I hate those pants."
Liz: "What?!!?! I love these pants. They are so cute. Why do you hate them?"
Danny: "They just don't look good. And while we're at it, I hate your favorite green skirt you wear all the time."
Liz (shocked and stunned): "What?!?! Why?!?! Does it make me look fat?"
Danny: "It just doesn't look good."

Takes me over to a picture on our wall in which I am wearing the green skirt.

Danny: "It's not something people your age wear. You look like a crazy tourist."
Liz: "Is it too young or too old for me?"
Danny: "Too young. Like something a toddler would wear. Not a college student, not a teenager, a small child. Just thought you should know."

All this from the 27 year old man who will only wear Volcom. Not even new Volcom. Volcom from high school.

Does anyone have these? Do you know of anyone who has tried these? Do they look super fake? Is there any hope that I can look like I have hair?

Patrick's Wedding aka Boys Weekend 2009

One of Danny's BBFs, Patrick, got married in August and it was one wild weekend!!! It was supposed to be a boy's weekend but an offer of a free plane ticket was enough to convince me to crash Danny's party.

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner at Solitude and it was amazing. We even saw two moose (I don't know what happened to the pictures :( ). Later that night Danny and the gang stayed up until 4 am playing xbox, talking (about what?!! girls?), and eating junk food. Word has it that Danny ate so much junk food he woke up at 6am the next morning throwing up. Boys are so ridiculous.

Saturday was the wedding and we barely made it there (even thought it was @ 4pm) due to the boys' late night girl talk and food binge. Mal and I were starving and decided to go get Cafe Rio in Park City while the boys got ready. It was so fun to catch up and eat some yummy food. The wedding was perfect and the reception beautiful. I am so excited to welcome Jordan into the BFF group.
