The deal this year was that I didn't have to get Danny a present if I took care of dinner. This proved to be more challenging than anticipated. I have class on Tuesdays until 6 and I quickly discovered that many restaurants don't take take out orders until after 5pm the day of which is when I'm in class. After a few phone calls I was able to order from the Thai place down the road during a class break. Earlier in the day I made a candy bouquet for Danny and dropped it off at his work despite his strict instructions to never have anything delivered to his work. My fear of breaking his rule ended in a very awkward encounter with his office receptionist (I refused to get out of the elevator for fear of being seen by Danny). I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm the strangest person in the world now. hahaha. Danny was so surprised to see it on his desk and loved it. Thanks for the idea, Mom.
Behold my Thai food. I'm really good at ordering take out. I also picked up a pie from Marie Calender's since it was pie month. We're classy like that. Danny got me 3 {NICE} bracelets, flowers, and jewelry cleaner (which I was actually most touched by...he remembered that my favorite bracelet had been tarnished for a year and I kept forgetting to buy cleaner).
He's a keeper.
Valentine's is my favorite holiday.
